Clockify

4/6/2025 – I’ve been using Clockify to track my time spent studying, particularly for the CPA exams. However, I’m going to try to start expanding its use beyond academic. I’m noticing a lot of time that seems to just disappear in my schedule and am trying to audit my time to figure out where it’s going. For example, while at work I have 7 hours available to study, but my Clockify entries only ever come out to 2-3 hours. Obviously some time is spent taking breaks, which then presents another problem – how can I reduce the ‘recovery’ times I need between study sessions to brute-force results?

Some areas I’d like to audit are – time spent:

  • Eating
  • On transport (and further – how can I best use this time?)
  • Sleep
  • ‘Work’ (actually working security AKA foot patrols)
  • Breaks
