After reading Black Edge by Sheelah Kolhatkar, I was fixated on the parts where Steve Cohen’s email inbox was mentioned, rereading these parts several times. Its been a while but I remember this being the main inspiration, along with the character Bobby Axelrod (also based off of Cohen) on organizing my email and building a system to filter out spam and curate a stream of useful and concise daily emails.
